About Us
West Winds Photographic Group is a group of enthusiastic photographers who reside in the
D'Entrecasteaux Channel area of Southern Tasmania, which is between 25km
and 50 km south of Hobart..
The group was formed in September 2006 to encourage photography among the
residents in the Channel area and to provide fellowship, instruction and
inspiration for those interested in the art of photography.
Our
aims are to
look at various ways in which the members, singly or collectively, can
expand their expertise in using their equipment, while enjoying good
fellowship. We have a common interest in the digital age of cameras.
This does not mean that those who use a film camera are excluded from
active participation.
The Group is open to the inclusion
of new members at any time, and will welcome the presence of visitors at
any meeting.
Workshops and Photo Outings are held on a
regular basis throughout the year.

Monthly Exhibitions, Photo Shoots & Workshops programme.
We want to encourage anyone interested in
photography, from those who are just learning and want to improve their
skill, to those who are already producing great photography's and will to
share their skill.

junior (up and including 16 years of age) $5 per annum, from
January to December
each year. There is a entry fee of $2 per adult for
at monthly exhibitions. All monies
collected will be used to defray the cost of providing meeting
facilities, and to build a up funds will be drawn to
cover costs associated activities undertaken by the group. Junior
members are free to both monthly meetings.
