West Winds Community Centre offers a range of services including: community programs, commercial kitchen hire,venue hire, consuting room hire,catering eqiuipment and occassional childcare, all of which you will find elsewhere on this site.
Our office is also available to provide photocopying, a fax machine and laminating (up to A3 size)
Volunteer drivers needed!
West Winds Community Centre is looking for volunteer drivers for its South Channel Transport program. We currently have an 8-seater bus, automatic transmission, which can be driven by anyone with a normal driver's licence. If you can help, please contact the centre on 62674713, email us at:

West Winds Community Centre Monthly Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter is full of local news, meetings, advertisements for local tradespeople and businesses, recipes, competitions and many other interesting local features.
Advertising rates for the newsletter are very competetive and there is also a reduced rate available for community groups and long term advertising. For further information, or if you wish to place an ad, phone our coordinator on 6267 4713.

Local History DVDs
Local history DVDs made by the U3A classes held at West Winds in 2007 are now available for hire from West Winds Community Centre
Topics covered include: Woodbridge, Snug, Boats in the Channel, Middleton and Gordon, Lost Churches of the Channel, Kettering and Oyster Cove, Flowerpot, Bruny Island Quaranteen Station, Margate, Bruny Island and Cygnet
Cost: - $2 (plus a $10 refundable deposit)
Rental period: - 3 weeks
DVDs created by this year's class will also be available soon

Carolyn's Cutting Room
Tuesdays by appointment, but Carolyn is also happy to take bookings on other days during the week.
Carolyn specializes in all areas of hairdressing and also offers eyelash tinting, eyebrow tinting and facial waxing.

Volunteer drivers needed!
Can you help once a week, or once a fortnight, delivering meals for Meals on Wheels? Meals are delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The runs dont take long, and everyone enjoys it, so if you can help, please contact the Meals on Wheels co-ordinator, Fran at West Winds on 62674713.

Library/book exchange
Open during
office hours
A small, well stocked library operates from West Winds. It has both fiction and non-fiction books to choose from, all of which have been donated by the community and any surplus are handed on to other charities.
The library operates on an honesty system - just write your name, book title, and date borrowd in the book provided and tick off when returned.
Books may be borrowed for 3 weeks and there is no limit on the number of books you can borrow at one time.
Annual West Winds or library membership entitles you to use this facility:
Library Membership: $2.20 per year
West Winds Membership: $5.50 per year

Psychologist, Liz Mulder
Liz will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and every second week on Saturdays.
Liz is a registered psychologist experienced in working with adults and adolescents who are suffring from anxiety, depression, general stress, workplace related stress and trauma as a result of recent or childhood sexual assault, family or domestic violence, childhood abuse or neglect.
Liz's practice is guided by Solution Focused ways of working, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Liz "bulk bills" if you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (through your GP) or are referred by a psychiatrist or paediatrician

Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club is now run directly by
Woodbridge School
The Woodbridge School breakfast club is run on a voluntary basis.
A number of items such as bread (for toasting), vegemite and jam are donated by the local community. Volunteers meet in the cooking block at Woodbridge School and prepare breakfast for those students who have left for school without eating.
